After schooling at WITS and AAA, he chased his passion at The London Film School, snagging the Kodak Student Film award along the way. With over 250 commercials under his belt, Hylton's collaborated with top agencies worldwide, racking up awards like 2 Silver Cannes Lions and a Silver Clio for his wildly inventive CANSA Testi-monial’s campaign. He's all about the weird and wonderful, known for turning imaginative ideas into cinematic gold.

Kyla Philander, a writer and filmmaker from Johannesburg, now based in Cape Town, brings a unique blend of curiosity and social engagement to their work. Drawing from a background in performance and a dedication to research, Kyla creates art that delves into social issues and personal narratives with honesty and intimacy. Their success in advertising, exemplified by the acclaimed 2019 commercial "Google Station," showcases their talent for crafting rich, relatable characters and compelling narratives. Whether depicting the journey of a professional woman in Gugulethu or capturing the playful spirit of young boys in an Ackerman's ad, Kyla's work seamlessly blends storytelling and commercial direction. With an academic foundation in filmmaking and a commitment to authenticity, Kyla continues to evolve as a versatile creator, producing evocative cinematic works filled with hope.

Fausto, much like his artistic namesake, is intensely passionate. He lives for filmmaking, photography, music, travel and adventure. Over the years that he has been directing, a distinct aesthetic has emerged in his work. Along with getting authentic performances out of actors, he is particularly skilled at pairing striking cinematic visuals with emotive music crafting pictures that pulse to a beat. When he’s not directing, Fausto’s other passion, photography, has seen him build up a formidable portfolio of stills – exhibited and sold in galleries and showcased online.

While still in high school Zipho made it through to the national round in the 2010 South African Talent Championships for acting, receiving 2 silver awards and a gold plus, ranking him at no.3 in the whole of South Africa, gaining him a trip to America to participate in the AMTC convention, from which he returned with a finalist award for best actor. After school Zipho obtained a degree in Film Production from the Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria and then went on to study Television and Screen Arts at the Academy of Television in Johannesburg. He joined Bioscope in 2017 as an Assistant Director working closely on all our productions. In 2019 he started directing and in a short time has made some stand out work. His passion, energy and big heart comes across in his work and love for his craft.

Riordan Allen is a filmmaker whose curiosity, imagination, and empathy inform the narrative of his work. Born in Namibia and raised in South Africa, his love and appreciation for both countries are integral to his view of the world. Growing up in the embrace of different communities is reflected in his stories, this sense of community and depth of human spirit are at the core of his inspiration. His work endeavours to peel away misconceptions and reveal the authentic, unexplored elements of what makes us human. The visual narratives he builds focus on the raw beauty of his subject, avoiding superfluous theatrics that often detracts from conveying the substance of a story.
